Gong…gong…gong…G slowly opens his eyes, waking to the sound of his alarm – soft, melodic peals of an ancient gong being coaxed to life. He throws back the soft cotton flannel sheets, and kisses his sleeping yet smiling wife on her forehead before sliding into his waiting shearling slippers. As he walks into the kitchen, the aroma of freshly made Italian espresso wafts in his direction, and he eagerly takes the waiting cup into his hands.
After enjoying his morning coffee, G makes his way down the cool tiled hallway to the bathroom, where he turns on the shower, waits a second for it to automatically adjust to his desired temperature, then steps in. Once in, he enjoys the sensation of the water running over his toned, lean, and muscular frame. He then washes his face with Gessato cleansing treatment, and washes his body with his favorite body wash, a blend of lavender and sandalwood.
After stepping out of the shower, he uses Gessato shaving treatment to shave his face, leaving it smooth as polished mahogany. He then pats on Gessato eye treatment around the contours of his eyes, and Gessato face treatment all over the plane of his visage.
Leaving the bathroom, he steps directly into his bedroom, where he selects from the armoire a light Italian wool sports jacket with pinstripes. He pairs it with his favorite, perfectly worn-in Paul Smith jeans. As he slides into his soft leather Tod’s loafers, he reaches for his slightly faded but still perfectly useable Storia aviator black leather messenger bag.
Before leaving the house, G checks the wine cellar to make sure he has enough bottles on hand of his favorite Barolo – Thursday nights he usually ends up bringing home a couple of clients and friends to sip wine and enjoy the view of the skyline from his terrace. The market around the corner makes a delectable terrine which, when paired with toasted baguette slices and orange compote, makes for an indulgent palate experience.
After locking the door to his home, G walks outside and looks up at the sky – looks like rain. G decides to take his silver Audi A8 over his other means of transport, a Freeman bicycle. He settles into the smooth leather interior, turns on the purring engine, glides the stick into reverse, and joins the other cars on the road. He glances at his watch – right on time.
