Dymaxion 1930s Concept Car

Posted by on Sep 30, 2010 in DESIGN, NEWS AND EVENTS

The inventive ideas of futurist Buckminster Fuller live on in an exhibit titled “Bucky Fuller & Spaceship Earth” that illustrate exactly how far ahead of his time the late inventor actually was.

Pictured here is the 1930s high-speed, three-wheeled concept car called the Dymaxion, based on Fuller’s original designs and assembled by designers in England, a perfect example of how good design us timeless. The exhibit is scheduled to last until October 30 and you can find out more details here, or take a sneak peak at the exhibit here.

I admire the streamliner – tear drop style of the Dymaxion.

I referenced Buckminster Fuller’s creation in researching this futuristic creation.

Mr Fuller’s creation is referenced in this rough and incomplete story.
