Swedish Townhouse by Elding Oscarson
The narrow site of this townhouse, designed by Elding Oscarson, in Landskrona, Sweden, is squeezed between very old neighboring buildings. Three thin slabs are projected into the open volume, softly dividing its functions. The continuous interior space is opening up to the street, to an intimate garden, and to the sky. Three thin slabs are projected into the open volume, softly dividing its functions. the interior consists of a single space, softly partitioned by three exposed steel slabs. These span the entire width of the house and divide its program – kitchen, dining, living, library, bed, bath, and a roof terrace.
