Spinnaker, Chair Made From Recycled Boat Sails

Creating the relaxing feeling of sitting on a white cloud has been the company goal since the Spinnaker was born. This comfortable chair has got an exquisite, temporary design and the shape reflects the beautiful curves of a cruising spinnaker sail. In many ways it is inspired by the maritime world.

Spinnaker is manufactured by the well rennomated upholstery manufacturer, Hodnebo of Norway, who has been manufacturing furniture for more than a century.
It was designed and launched for the Norwegian market in 2005 and introduced on an international arena at IMM Cologne in 2007. It’s long journey continues, and Spinnaker is now becoming a hit among design lovers in countries all over the world. The Spinnaker concept is a result of creative teamwork between the designers Linda Steen and Lena Axelsson, Scenario design MNIL and Hødnebø design team.
