Pretty Looking Potholes by Juliana Santacruz Herrera

Posted by on Apr 22, 2011 in AROUND THE WORLD, ART

Potholes are often annoying, sometimes painful reminders that the city has yet to fix your street, but artist Juliana Santacruz Herrera has made the potholes of Paris her canvas. Using long lengths of dyed fabrics, she braids and coils them into the shallow cracks of the street. The pieces add a touch of vibrant color to the concrete setting, making potholes not so bad to look at.
