Shopping Cart Lounge Chair by Mike Bouchet

  • The shopping cart is usually a sign of obligations but American-born, Frankfurt-based artist Mike Bouchet has made the shopping cart into a sign of leisure by transforming it into a lounge chair. Bouchet is able to alter the frame and modify the childseats as headrests resulting in a set of five different seating objects, each with an outdoor, weatherproof cushion. The final collection will also feature the original design with a parasol, one with an armrest, a love seat, a side table and one chair with a speaker attached for an iPod connection.
