BMW 328 Hommage

As the name implies, the BMW 328 Hommage Concept car pays tribute to the original BMW 328 for it’s 75th anniversary. While the BMW 328 Hommage has modern features such as lightweight construction with carbon fiber reinforced plastic and improved engines and suspension technology, the Hommage stays true to the original BMW 328 in many other ways. Like the original, the Hommage has the kidney shaped BMW grille and as a nod to the 328’s racing past, it is streamlined and simple with a sparse cockpit and no doors–just deep recesses. According to Karl Bäumer, CEO of BMW Group Classic “With the BMW 328 Hommage, we wish to pay homage to the passion and inventiveness of the fathers of the BMW 328. They created an icon, which is considered a milestone in the history of the automobile,” said Bäumer.
