Fabrica Furniture

Fabrica features is displaying fifteen furniture pieces in the Grand-Hornu, in Belgium, designed by Fabrica. The fifteen pieces were created during the collaboration of Fabrica and craftsmen, technicians, and office staff of Grand-Hornu Images Cultural Center. All of the pieces are on display in the exhibit Objet Préféré until October 23, 2011.

The inspiration for the exhibit consisted of several objects -a knife, a train ride, a beer glass, a jewel, plus a couple more- that resonated with Grand-Hornu. Though some may never string these objects together the exhibit shows the balance between the modern, retro, pensive design and fine craftsmanship.
