Cave House by Ensamble Studio

Posted by on Jun 3, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN

Designed by Ensamble Studio, this Truffle House was molded from a fabricated stone made out of rough concrete exterior. The project was designed to have the structure build up and remain hollow in the center. Placing hay inside of the structure kept it hollow; letting the structure harden and texturize with nature completed the project. Now suitable as a little home, the hollowed out interior holds a bed, a fire place and a sink.
