Cozy Caravans and Cabins

Posted by on Jun 6, 2011 in AROUND THE WORLD, DESIGN

Silke Lorenzen and Sarah Vollmer love being hostess, but once they realized their living room wasn’t big enough, decided to upgrade to a bigger space. Walking along one day they found an old vacuum-cleaner factory in Hobrechtrabe and fell in love. Transformed into a small hotel, the space is still somewhat familiar as the pair did not want to build separate rooms within the space and destroy the preexisting architecture.

Within the space are little rooms resembling mini-trailers, and mini-houses. The pair came across the concept that having these rooms within the larger room will get people communicating with one another. Though, if this isn’t your cup of tea, there are six more rooms that are more suitable for private people.
