The High Line Part Deux

Posted by on Jun 13, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN

Made out of an old railroad line, the High Line is a park that brings you serenity and some nostalgia. Plants of all hues, shapes and smells cover this old refurbished railroad line. Created by James Corner Field Operations with Diller Scofidio and Renfro in 2009, the park was not complete with 1.45 mile expansion in the works.

Now, there are more sights to see, as the second phase of the High Line is accessible to the public. Skyline views can now be seen between West 20th and West 28th street. And you can go tanning right upstairs in the Great Lawn, which is great for laying out or having a picnic.
