‘Justk’

Posted by on Jun 20, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

This four-storey geometric house, ‘Justk’ is home to a family of six in Tübingen, Germany. Created by Amunt, (Bjorn Martenson, Sonja Nagel, and Jan Theissen) this flattened domed and overlapping structure is more than distinctive and unique in the ways it uses its limited space.

If more privacy is needed, the construction of two separate entrances allows for the space to be split into two separate living spaces. Taking sustainability and energy efficiency into account the interior of this design is mainly composed of wood because of its renewable aspect and ability to keep in heat. Light toned wood was used to create the illusion of a bigger space and to capture natural light.
