The Mai House by Bourbouze & Graindorge

Posted by on Jun 23, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN

The Mai House is a unique structure that was developed by architects Bourbouze & Graindorge. The architecture stands tall in Nantes, France and has an exuberant presence with it’s transformation from having walls protecting the world from it’s enclosures to freeing the inside space within it’s garden. It was an L-shaped building where common spaces regulated amongst each other and created private areas for the family members. Now, the design attachs to an angle of the former house and opens at its center to form a larger inner space allowing the beauty of the home to flow free.
