Basket Boats

Baskets can be used for more than just carrying the essentials. In Vietnam, basket boats or Thung Chai float along the rivers in this country and are usually used by fisherman in Central Vietnam. This round form of transportation is used for easy mobility and can support up to five people. It can also be used for transportation from larger boats on water to the land. These boats are known to be very valuable to their owners and are made entirely from bamboo.
