Park and Eat

Posted by on Jun 29, 2011 in AROUND THE WORLD, DESIGN, FOUR WHEELS

Located in Shizuoka, Japan this innovative cafe stretches the mappings of the neighboring parking lot into their flooring. Created by architects of Suppose Design Office, the road markings and route directions continue into the interior of this bistro giving off a unique appearance. Furniture was selected to match the hue of the yellow flagpoles of the driving school that uses the attached parking lot, and dining benches were modeled after bus-stops. Recycled car seat chairs also enhance the throttle persona of the space.
