The Luxury of Never Having to do Dishes

Posted by on Jul 12, 2011 in ART, DESIGN

“Finest Paperware” is for those high class yet simple folk. This chic idea won over visitors of the presentation at the Flow Gallery in London. Using hand-drawn patterns and slip-casting, ceramicist Rebecca Wilson created these paper plates and cups that are detailed with Chinaware patterns and outlined in gold ribbing.

“To create a ‘symmetry of opposites’ some of these cups are assembled from cast sheets of handmade paper; others are hand-built from sheets of specially a specially formulated porcelain and paper pulp mixture,” says Wilson.
