Not Another Brick in the Wall

Posted by on Jul 14, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN

Every space should have one wall that makes a statement, and this one just happens to have thousands of them. Swedish designer, Elding Oscarson’s had the innovative idea of reusing magazines to create a delightfully structured wall. Constructed in design agency Oktavilla, this creative idea complied an eye-catching work of art.

As a part of the office’s refurbishing, the magazine wall was built with the desire to reuse materials. Rather than having a plain wall built out of brick, this wall used magazines of different colored bindings and arranged them to look like thinly cut tile. All magazines were bound and stacked to create a mosaic of color that may spark ideas for the designers at work.
