The Redesign of Inception

Posted by on Jul 14, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, ART

Image you had a dream that buildings moved, and with a blink of an eye your dream came true. Those things only happen in the movie Inception right, well you may be wrong.  Created by Stephane Malka of Malka Architecture, AME-LOT appears to be shape shifting, as if coming to life. This project reused and restored materials so to subside the amount of waste created by over shooting the production of building supplies.

AME-LOT was constructed around a preexisting structure. Thick dimensional walls were added to form blinders from the urban setting in which it stands. Being that there was no demolition, this project didn’t create any pollution, and with the addition of the structured walls the building becomes something out of this world.
