TuboHotel

Posted by on Jul 21, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN

The TuboHotel is a quaint little inn that resides near the south of Mexico City. Developed by T3arc, this ingenious design was inspired by Dasparkhotel in Austria which was created with recycled concrete tubular rooms. Each space comes with a queen bed, desk light, fan, and under-bed storage. This cozy little auberge can also be placed in threes for a more hotel-like experience.

HOW PRACTICAL TO USE A RECYCLED CONCRETE PIPE FOR TEMPORAY ACCOMMODATION BUT HOW GIMMICKY AND STUPID TO COPY AND THEN CREATE THIS NEW IMPRACTICAL SPACE WHEN IT WOULD BE MORE PRACTICAL, FUNCTIONAL AND MORE ECONOMICAL TO CREATE A BOX WITH THE SAME MATERIAL.
