Little Items, Big Use

Posted by on Aug 2, 2011 in DESIGN

It’s always such a breath of fresh air when everyday items can be used for more than one thing. The idea of two items in one was highlighted by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin from the British design firm Industrial Facility in their new book The Usefulness in Small Things: Items From Under a Fiver Collection. Combinations galore create beneficial tools like the penknife-scissors from Japan and the two-headed nail which can easily be taken apart and put back together again. Why not make one tool into two while creating a world of ease for your daily hassles.
