A Broken Home

The precious memories of a house makes up the fond characteristics of our lives. Yet, home sweet home can become an utter catastrophic mess after an unpredictable storm demolishes it in seconds. A collection of photographs called Broken Houses by Ofra Lapid were used to create small scale models. The photographer calatogs the decaying processes of living structures in North Dakota in these pieces. These abodes were photographed again, removed from their background and placed in gray to capture the destitute emotion of abandonment and destruction.
