Exposed by Shmuel Linski

Industrial/product design student Shmuel Linski‘s graduation project ‘Exposed’ is a bold experiment inspired by the artist’s affinity for concrete. “We often encounter plastic, wood, leather and other basic materials in our homes, but we encounter concrete as a ‘hidden’ material which is covered by layers of plaster and paint. In my work I tried to give, in addition to great aesthetics, practical reasons for using concrete as a main material in a product.”

Linski’s experiment, it turns out, was a success. Utilizing horn speaker technology and a driver that moves air through a 96m pipe and into the horn shaped mouth at the bottom of the speaker, this unique set of speakers are definitely “invoking a sense of nirvana for concrete lovers and audiophiles.”
