Magnolia Residence by Heliotrope Architects

Posted by on Aug 25, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

The Magnolia Residence, a three-storey home in Seattle, Washington, quaintly maximizes the western views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains nearby. Designedby Heliotrope Architects, the main social areas are located on the top floors including the kitchen and living rooms grouped in a loft like space to give residents the joy of the magnificant views of the Puget Sound. A cedar rain-screen wrapped around the entire house shields the private rooms from the street on the second floor. A garage, an entrance and an opening through the house from front to back is on the ground level where a covered exterior gathering space frames the views of the water for passerbys on the street.
