Posted by on Sep 1, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

The beauty and cultural essence of Brazil’s modernism from the 1950′s transcends an excellent wave of sheer style through the apartment of architect and product designer Mauricio Arruda.

The social, economic, and artistic changes of Brazil and an environment that defines Arruda’s lifestyle is integrated into the layout of his home. Ample sunlight peacefully brightens the apartment shining the iconic 1950s palette and modern expression mixed in with his unique furniture.

From the apartments former state, he combined two bathrooms into one and changed the location of the kitchen to bring in a warm, inviting environment. Black floors and white walls intensify the modern furniture with their vibrant, versatile presence.
