House on the Outskirts of Prague

Posted by on Sep 3, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

Czech Republic architect Martin Cenek found the ideal plot for a sustainable home on the outskirts of Prague. Constructed from two-by-four timber framing, the design concept was based on a composition of simple volumes arranged into a compact and clear shape. All the furniture in the house is white so that it all blends in with the walls and the occupants of the house are the focus. “By its orientation on the plot the house creates a natural barrier between the road to the north and spacious garden on the south side.”
