Orchard House by Nachazel Architekti

Posted by on Sep 7, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE | No Comments

Nestled in the middle of a fruit orchard resides the traditional rural single-storey home called the “Orchard House” in Milevsko, Czech Republic. Renovated by Nachazel Architekti, light and free spaces allow openings in each of the facades towards the garden during the daytime. This stone house elevates the interaction between inside and out as the concrete slab from the entrance hall continues outside of the home to become a porch with a concrete bench providing outdoor seating. The interior of this abode creates a linkage in some of the rooms along a single corridor. This link becomes part of the rooms within the realms of the living room, entrance hall and kitchen or it can remain separated as sliding doors provide access to the bathroom and bedrooms.

White stucco encase the stone walls inside while the partition walls and furniture are made from birch plywood granting a harmonious environment from inside.
