Maino by Chiossi Cycles
The restoration of a Maino bike frame from the 1940s is revitalized to its former prestige. Paolo Chiossi from Chiossi Cycles in Modena, Italy recreated this vintage wonder by building a pair of wooden Ghisallo rims with Sturmey Archer hubs after removing the brake and pump bosses. A cable roller adds a new greatness to the classic silhouette while the crank set provides a delightful touch as the curved hand holder. The rear is toggled by a Sturmey shifter and is a coaster brake with a three speed internal number as the bike also includes wheels that are a NOS pair of whitehall Clement tires. A final touch of Chiossi’s pure gold badge on the crown makes up an exquisite redesign of vintage style.
