Inspiring Ceramics by Atelier Polyhedre

Posted by on Oct 13, 2011 in ART, DESIGN

Baptiste Ymonet and Vincent Jousseaume are the masterminds behind the exciting French ceramics studio Atelier Polyhedre. Forget for a minute about tableware as you know it and take a look at how fascinating the clean lines of these uncommon takes of ordinary objects are.  Polyhedre transforms the tea jug  into a parallelepiped , the handle into a cylinder. Every series they make is limited in quantity and respects rules and formal principles with great consistency. In 2007, Atelier Polyhedre’s work was awarded the Prix des Jeunes Créateurs (award for young designers) by the Ateliers d’Art de France (an organization promoting the French crafts industry).
