Studio Job & the Groninger Museum Exhibition
The Groninger Museum presents the Studio Job & the Groninger Museum Exhibition. The exhibition displays designs of Studio Job: combined works of designers Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel. Studio Job’s work reveal praise-worthy handling of extraordinary materials and amazing techniques to express an engagement in combining art and design. Studio Job is known for their unique caricatural and non-scaled designs, such as Curved Cabinet (1999) and Craft (2001). Studio Job has worked with various partners including Swarovski and Royal Tichelaar Makkum, and have presented their work in leading galleries all over the world. The Groninger Museum currently posses the largest collection of their work and even opened a reception area called the Job Lounge. The exhibition is a result of a unique relationship between the designers and the Museum, displaying remarkable interactions and the most important artistic developments of Studio Job.
