Mare Tranquillitatis by Shiro Studio

Lunar craters show a physical impact over an undisturbed terrain by revealing the presence of concave depressions made by collisions of objects against the silent surface of the moon. These trays by shiro studio made of white Carrara marble, have been designed using the lunar craters analogy. Every indentation represents a mold sculpted by the mass and weight of the resting objects. The various depths for each indentation creates different diameters which allow for a variety of different objects, such as fruits and vegetables, to comfortably rest on the tray.
