Berlinscapes by Tuca Vieira

Posted by on Nov 1, 2011 in ART, PHOTOGRAPHY

These nocturnal, depopulated photographs by Brazilian photographer Tuca Vieira provide a nocturnal theatrical view of the German capital. The images are either single subject with a straight-on view or arranged in two-point perspective, with the corner of a building jutting into the center and shifting focus severely to the side. This is no longer a war-torn city; history’s scars are buried deep under new, sleek buildings or memorialized in one of the many public monuments throughout the central city.

Great pictures! Very ominous and melancholic.
