House in Avila, Modern Villa/Farm by Studio A-Cero

The collaboration between architects Joaquin Torres and Rafael Lamanzare under the renown a-cero studio brought to life this absolutely stunning and unique example of modern farm. The building, of considerable size located in Avila Spain is surrounded by meadows, chestnut, pine, oak and a rich wildlife and it extends on one level for easy connection with the breath taking environment. The U-shaped configuration around a large patio is a  clear tribute to the traditional rural villages of southern Spain with their complex network of separate buildings and open spaces. The building  perches delicately on the ground with the clear desire to preserve, through reinterpretation, the native cultural tradition and architecture.
