Eco Friendly Christmas Tree Made from 40,000 Recycled Plastic Bottles

Last year around this time we have been pleasantly surprised by the Tree-cycle the unique Australian Christmas tree made of recycled bicycle parts. Here we are, one year after with another delightful example of sustainable Holiday decorations. This time we are in Kaunas, Lithuania where artist Jolanta Šmidtienė created an enormous 13-meter tall Christmas tree made from nearly 40,000 recycled green bottles and zip ties. At night the tree is lit from the inside turning into a glowing, translucent, emerald green monumental beauty.
