Inverted Warehouse/Townhouse by Dean Wolf Architects
A traditional New York warehouse located in Tribeca received an amazing makeover by Dean Wolf Architects and became the “Inverted Warehouse/Townhouse”. An animated energy of light, air and nature is brought into the interior by this warehouse’s abundance of windows arranged on the exterior. A playroom, reading courtyard and an exterior courtyard are suspended into the warehouse’s void. Corten steel panels also hang into the voids allowing the frame-less burgundy glass to drift down. This three-story townhouse has a connection of two glass floors that are framed with rolled corten sections that allow light to naturally float in.
