Blair Barn House by Alchemy Architects

Posted by on Dec 12, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

Alchemy Architects built a house modeled after a 19th century styled barn, it incorporated all of its positive attributes and put a 21st century spin on it. Located in Blair, Wisconsin it stands on 1,850 square feet of land. The Barn theme of the Blair’s barn house is taken to new heights with a hybrid of familiar farm style architecture, such as cellars with bedrooms and a sleeping loft, blending together modern and traditional motifs. It also features what they affectionately call a “barn space,” a two story room reminiscent of old-time haylofts, bi-sectioned with steel and ash strips.
