The Duramen Series, designed by French duo Remy Clemente and Morgan Maccari of Bonsoir Paris, consists of three articulate sculptures that allow the mind to visualize an objects form that has been twisted from its original skeleton. Each piece, in the shape of a picture frame, were transformed to a point where they couldn’t properly function even though they were still recognizable. The sculptures made from different types of wood such as oak and fir were carved, sanded and yes, they where finished by hand. Amazing.
