Villa Midgard by DAPstockholm

Posted by on Dec 30, 2011 in ARCHITECTURE

The geometric, mahogany colored dream of the Villa Midgard welcomes its residents with an abundant dose of  charm in Stockholm, Sweden. DAPstockholm created a home of ample space with large windows to allow views of the overlooking countryside. Its seven different front surfaces are made predominantly from weathering steel aka Cor-Ten. The second floor hovers above the entrance while creating shade and protection for the garden. A lovely pool made of dark concrete sits on the edge of this level. The ground floor is made up of slate and limestone stairs. Nature becomes a part of the house since its highest ceiling is covered with grass.
