The Tube by Tube4all
I always found it fun to crawl in and out of tubes in a playground as a kid. But how cool would it be to actually live in one? Dutch company Tube4all has created this amazing temporary cylindrical house called “The Tube.” It can be placed in a variety of outdoor environments as a cabin in parks or as a lodge in remote places where temporary living or sleeping facilities are needed. This tubular home can protect against rain, cold, heat, and wind throughout the seasons. A two to three person mattress can be utilized once an adjustable table lowers down to a bench height to make a surface onto which the backrests are. Under seat storage is made accessible from the home’s flexible furniture system. The door and window frames are made from durable wood that is safe for both outdoor and indoor applications. The tube’s exterior is made up of one piece of polyurethane that can prevent cracks or seams. This portable house is also easy to transport since it weighs 990 pounds (450 kg) and is 10 feet long (3 m).
