Marble Armchair by Maurizo Galante

Posted by on Jan 17, 2012 in HOME DECOR, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

Maurizo Galante and Tal Lancman utilizes the exquisite nature of marble to create a smooth and comfortable chair. The “Louis XV goes to Sparta” chair fuses the classic form of a Louis XV armchair with the digitally reproduced motif of famous marble to result in a remarkable piece of furniture. Designed for Italian manufacturer Cerruti Baleri, its framework is made of plywood and CFC-free soft polyurethane foam. It comes with an internal Dacron cover and a separate polyurethane seating cushion. The chair is also upholstered with an external sheath made of 100% silk that’s adorned with a photographic print of Carrara marble. “Louis XV” is available in three marble tattoo versions of grande antico, portasanta and carrara.
