House Arc by Bellomo Architects

Posted by on Jan 26, 2012 in ARCHITECTURE

The cozy and curvaceous confines of the “House Arc” can only intensify the remarkable components of what this house can do.  Bellomo Architects intended to build a structure ready to aid people from the unpredictable forces of nature by replacing homes unsuitable to survive natural disasters. Probably one of the only few homes that can fit into a storage box, this prefab housing system can be flat packed and shipped. Weighing only 3,000 pounds, its shape is formed from a lightweight frame made of steel tubes. Its impressive ability to withstand the destructive nature of strong tropical weather also comes with some sustainable elements. This house has a solar energy generated roof with large windows that allow light and air to spread throughout the interior.
