The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante 2012

Posted by on Mar 6, 2012 in FOUR WHEELS, ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

As a celebration for the aerodynamic, low riding extraordinaire car, the 1952 ‘Disco Volante’ (flying saucer), Milan based race and specialty car producers Carrozzeria Touring Supperleggera and Alfa Romeo present a new and improved 2012 version. This concept vehicle pays recognition to the sixtieth anniversary of the original model for the Geneva Motor Show 2012. The lightweight two-seater comes with a 4.7L V8 engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox paddle shift control that maxes out at 300 km/hr. With a similar interior to the 1952 Disco Volante, this upgrade will be released as a very limited series.
