This two story contemporary home is located in the Sunshine Coast region in the South East Queensland, Australia. Designed by Bark Design Architects who seek “to define the line between inside and out; to negotiate the relationship between the internal and external environment; to contain, protect and house.”  The house has a curious case of ambiguity between its indoor/outdoor space and even the rooms, with glass walls being present to divide not only interior from the exterior but also the rooms within. The materials used in the project show heavy environmental awareness, many sustainable efforts like cooling and lighting from the blowing breezes and warm sunshine, using locally sourced hardwood, recycled timber floors and local quarry rock.
