The architects of Ruinelli Associati Architetti reconstructed an unused barn in Soglio, Switzerland into a three story contemporary home. The facades are made of stone and wood as the original texture and have smooth concrete inserts with a core of reinforced concrete framing the new openings of the ground floor. The materials used for the interior are contemporary such as raw solid oak wood and hand treated welded steel, even though these materials have a rough appearance they are prepared with extreme accuracy and top of the line craftsmanship. The first floor includes the kitchen, living room and study arranged round the block of the stairs and fireplace, a guest room and balcony are on the second floor overlooking the courtyard.
