Terraced Casavell Home by 05 AM Architecture

Posted by on Apr 12, 2012 in ARCHITECTURE

A home that enchants in many ways through its array of leveling terraces on a long, narrow plot, located in Casavells, Spain. Entrance to the home is available through two facades at different levels. To further connect the beautiful interaction between the garden and the landscape, 05 AM architecture built a sunken level in the middle of the ground floor. Natural light filters through the split roof to the different levels where light and shadow play together along the different characteristics of each floor. Leisure and study take place on the middle floor between the basement and the main floor for residents to enjoy the library, play area and home cinema. A large opening brings views of the garden inside on the main floor which includes space for a kitchen, living room and a terrace. Three bedrooms at varying heights are on the first floor where a slab separates them leaving two open gaps between them.
