Elliott Ripper House by Christopher Polly Architect

Located in Sydney Australia, the Elliott Ripper House was built to create an extension of the key existing materials as well as preserving its previous structure. The architects put an open plan kitchen and dining space on the first floor, along with an enlarged bathroom, laundry and storage; enabling direct connection of living spaces to clearly defined. The arrangement of the house reflects modern patterns of the provision of two living spaces to enable separation of adult and children functions. To reduce the carbon footprint of the building, recycled Black butt timber is used externally and internally, high performance glazing is used to reduce hear loads and the external retractable blind controls Northern solar access and heat gain.

Jessie was born in China in 1989; she holds a Bachelor degree in Marketing and Global Management from Binghamton University and is currently a marketing major MBA student there.
