Posted by on Apr 17, 2012 in ARCHITECTURE

This stone house called the Sobral house located in Sobral, Portugal is a monolithic shaped structure that has been divided into two platforms; one perfectly leveled and one ramped off into the street. Nelson Resende designed the home with a semi-suspension relationship that stresses on the creation of a rational yet perceptive visual of the entire structure. A visual integration between the private and the communal rooms intertwine in a harmonious relationship with the outdoor landscape. Space and privacy is provided to residents from the elevated suspension of the home.
