Venissa is located on the island of Mazzorbo, Venice, both an exquisite restaurant and hostel. This project was intended to restore the ancient estate of Venissa in Scarpa-Volo, reclaiming the land for its original purpose and creating a visitor’s centre for eco-tourism and sustainability in the singular lagoon environment. The Hostel is only open to the public from March to November; it consists of 6 small rooms all with amazing views of over the estate with ample common areas. The restaurant is under the executive direction of Chef Paola Budel, the menu changes almost daily according to fresh local produce.
