A 60’s home couldn’t quite live up to the structural potential of a proper dwelling because of the size of its rooms and its strange interior layout. Yet, Element Architecture transformed this 20th century home into a 21st century solution. They opened the home to enhance views of the panoramic scenery surrounding the home in Stavanger, Norway. A high beam expands over parts of the home to create a large terrace that allows light to flow easily inside and also protect it from northern wind. The Northface House embodies a strong architectural presence as it strengthens the qualities of its terrain and also stands tall to embrace views of the enchanting atmosphere surrounding it.
