Located in Deep Bay, the smallest community on Fogo Island, Canada, the Bridge studio’s Saltbox House by Saunders Architecture  is freshly painted in sharp contrast to its dilapidated condition. Along the winding path there are short runs of wooden stairs and ramps installed in critical locations to help visitors ascend some of the trail’s steeper inclines. An isolated solar panel mounted on a hilltop is the first thing that takes notice, it takes full advantage of the Island’s limited sunshine while the studio is dramatically located on a steep hill overlooking the calm waters of an inland pond.
