Pulpop Speakers by Balance Studio

Posted by on May 23, 2012 in DESIGN, MUSIC

The only perk I could ever think  of getting out of anything doughnut shaped is the irresistible goodness of a sweet dessert. But Wu and Chin Wang from Balance design have created these amazing doughnut shaped speakers that give consumers a different type of special treat. The Pulpop MP3 speakers are made from recycled paper pulp and they use vibration speaker technology to intensify the sound through the surface on which they stands on along with the hollow space inside the doughnut. Even though sound doesn’t normally travel well through paper, the hollow loop shape is said to give enough surface area to dispense the sound more smoothly. It’s not something I’d like to carry around in my bag, but this sound delicacy is sure to be the right tool to blast music in my space. Available at GSelect
